You may surprise that every where you go they will greet you with excellent service with respect but
there is no tipping custom in any situation in Japan. even Taxi, Restaurants, Personal care etc....

Manners

Most table manners in Western countries also apply in Japan. Specific manners mainly concern chopstick use: don’t point at people with your chopsticks, don’t stab food with them, don’t take food out of serving dishes with your own chopsticks, don’t pass food from your chopsticks to another person’s chopsticks, and never stand them point-first in your rice. Payment for meals at restaurants usually takes place at the register rather than the table.
